Oregon-based Cinetopia is eyeing Las Vegas as an expansion city for its luxury movie theater brand, a spokesperson confirmed to FOX5 on Thursday.
The 38,000-square-foot theater would open in the Crystals mall at CityCenter on the Las Vegas Strip, according to the spokesperson, who added that Cinetopia’s Vice President of Development was in town touring the location.
If the deal goes through, the spokesperson said, a new Cinetopia could be up and running by November.
News of the Cinetopia expansion was first reported by Vegas Chatter.
Cinetopia owns three luxury theater complexes in the northwest and bills itself as, “The official home of dinner and a movie.”
That would be a welcome concept in Las Vegas, where we have some luxury theaters, others that allow customers to buy alcohol, but nothing like the Cinetopia concept.
