That didn’t take long.
Last Wednesday I tweeted about a Kickstarter campaign to fund Mohu Channels, an HDTV antenna/streaming device that would allow users to replace their cable boxes with a custom built menu of apps and over-the-air channels.
Mohu is a company that made its name selling flat TV antennas capable of picking up HD signals. What they’ve essentially done with this new project is combined the antenna with a Roku set-top box – although users can also add websites to their customs menus.
The project had a $35,000 funding goal. By this morning (Tuesday), more than $62,000 had been raised; and there are still 37 days to go in the campaign.
Cord cutters don’t mess around.
